All’Bout Clay Policies and Guidelines

General Guidelines

Emergency Exit

  • In case of an emergency, promptly exit the studio using the designated emergency exit stairway. Additional fire escapes are located at both the front and rear of the building for quick evacuation.

  • Please refer to the posted studio map for all emergency exit locations and follow staff instructions at all times.

General Safety

  • All members and students acknowledge and assume the inherent risks of working with clay, equipment, and tools, and agree to take full responsibility for their personal safety while using the facilities.

  • If you are unfamiliar with any equipment, please ask staff for training before use. Any misuse that results in damage will be the responsibility of the user.

  • Dry sanding is prohibited. Only wet sanding is permitted, using wet grinding bats (available upon request).

First Aid

  • The first aid kit is located at the front desk.

  • For minor injuries, supplies may be used as needed. For serious medical emergencies, notify staff immediately for professional assistance.

Liability for Personal Property

  • All’Bout Clay is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings or artwork.

Storage & Shelves

Code of Conduct

  • Please respect each other’s work and storage space. Do not move, touch, or handle projects that are not your own.

  • If you accidentally damage someone’s work, please leave a note and inform staff.

  • We have a zero tolerance policy for discrimination, harassment, or harmful behavior of any kind. Violations will result in immediate removal from the studio.

Cell Phones

  • Please keep phone calls brief inside the studio. For longer conversations, step outside to avoid disrupting others.

Clean-Up Policy

  • Members and students are expected to clean their workstations after use, including wheel, stool, splash pan, tools, and surrounding floor.
